A 24hour comic! (Page 1)
Alright alright. Page one of five. I don't have much time I gotta go out to pick up my black cat from the doctor (his masculinity, it has been destroyed!) and then I have to bumrush the printer dude to get my book on its way to being done so we'll talk more about what's going on here later. Here, let's try a different idea! If you want some clarification on anything that's going on in this page, why don't you ask me in the comments and I'll be back later tonight to explain? Yes! Reader participation! Yes!

Heh, I like this one. I think the tags are comment enough from your side :)
The comic is pretty hard to read in the first time, is that intended? Should it reflect the confused mind of a teenager?
I just knew and applied the first law of thermodynamics in school. I just read the second law but I have no idea what that means. Maybe you should make more physical education comics ;)
Heh no I don't think I intended it to be hard to read, really!
"The second law of thermodynamics is an expression of the universal law of increasing entropy, stating that the entropy of an isolated system which is not in equilibrium will tend to increase over time, approaching a maximum value at equilibrium."
A warm coffee, if left unattended will eventually grow cold, the opposite will not happen (a cold coffee naturally becoming hot). There is no energy out of nothing. The total amount of energy in the universe is finite, and it lessens over time. This means that the universe (if you agree it is a closed system and doesn't take force from some other place) eventually will grow cold and still and space and time will come to not exist anymore.
The second law of thermodynamics means there is no god, no magic, no innocence to this word. Everything must feed itself to exist and everything will die in its time. There is no free energy, we must destroy to survive. It's a very ontologically shocking physics law!
today died your cat's masculinity and kiutsuk kanartzi's existence in your page.
Yeah heh well that didn't translate well so I decided to forgo it completely, I hope it doesn't hurt the page.
First law of thermodynamics: energy cannot be created or destroyed.
We don't destroy we merely convert. When we fail to convert, entropy wins and we die.
Unfortunately some 'conversion' may be too extreme for fellow organisms to cope with (by their own conversion rate) causing them to die. So be responsible with your conversion ;)
Comic wise this is typical Helm: light comedy, rebellious nature, engaging story, philosophical introversion and eccentric frame-play.
Turning the page...
Solar: it's depressing, isn't it?
Also, there's a typical Helm comic now! :O I always fear my work is too all over the place for a 'style' to bind it together, so I'm happy if some aspects are overarching. I wouldn't want to get stuck doing the same thing, on the other hand!
